Hi... Welcome to my Piano Class!
Here we are to share our experiences, anecdotes, knowledge and therefor enrich ourselves.
I Want to Play Piano
As I was saying on the teaser, my reflections, in this period, have been aimed at analyzing the differences between private classes and their peers in music institutions, paying special attention to the challenges that teachers face. In these classes the teachers receive students of very diverse conditions in terms of age and abilities. These students, first and foremost, are clients and they come up with a very vague idea of what a piano class is, learning to play the piano, or studying music. That is why we say that the most common phrase when they come to our class is I WANT TO PLAY PIANO.
What is playing piano for the student? The student comes to class motivated from many different sources: TV, networks, suggested by parents, having heard the instrument in different formats. Music is heard today with great volume, orchestrations and in many cases a great staging. And that image is very different from the sound reality of a piano only in the beginning. How to fill that gap in a motivating, attractive and educational way?
How do you do if a student comes to us and tells us: I want to play For Elisa by Beethoven, for example? Let's get started ... You have the
